70/30 CuNi Copper Nickel Reducing Tee Forged Socket Weld Class150 Navy Marine Seawater Pipe Fitting
1. Product Description
A copper nickel reducing tee is a T-shaped pressure fitting with equal main run ends and a reduced branch outlet. It is made of copper-nickel alloy, commonly in 90/10 CuNi (UNS C70600) and 70/30 CuNi (UNS C71500). It can be supplied in seamless or welded construction, formed by cold or hot forming, solution annealed, pickled, and passivated. It can be manufactured to ASME B16.9, DIN 86088, DIN 86089, EEMUA 146, and other standards. Material conforms to ASTM B466/B467 or equivalent. End connections include butt weld, socket weld, threaded, and flanged types.
2. Product Applications
-
Ship seawater cooling systems: for flow division and combination in seawater cooling lines.
-
Offshore platform piping: for seawater and process piping connections on offshore facilities.
-
Fire water systems: for connections between fire mains and branch pipes.
-
Ballast water systems: for reducing and branch connections in ballast piping.
-
Bilge water systems: for connections and transitions in bilge drainage lines.
-
Desalination plants: for pipeline distribution and connections in desalination systems.
-
Power plant condensers and heat exchangers: for seawater-side piping systems.
-
Petrochemical systems: for piping with high corrosion resistance requirements.
-
Shipbuilding and ship repair: for installation, modification, and maintenance of marine piping.
-
Other corrosion-resistant piping: suitable for brine, fresh water, oil, gas, and similar media.
3. Product Advantages
-
Excellent seawater corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-containing environments.
-
Strong resistance to erosion-corrosion in flowing seawater, suitable for relatively high flow velocities.
-
Certain resistance to marine biofouling, helping to maintain pipeline flow.
-
Good weldability, convenient for on-site installation and repair.
-
High strength and toughness; iron and manganese help improve overall performance.
-
90/10 CuNi offers balanced cost-performance between corrosion resistance and cost.
-
Long service life, reducing maintenance and replacement costs.
-
Customizable sizes to meet different main run and branch outlet requirements.
-
Stable quality with spectroscopic analysis, dimensional inspection, and non-destructive testing.
4. Product Functions
-
Flow division: distributes main line flow to branch pipes.
-
Flow combination: merges branch line flow into the main pipe.
-
Diameter transition: provides smooth connection between pipes of different diameters.
-
Branch connection: provides a reliable T-shaped branch interface.
-
Flow distribution: achieves reasonable flow distribution through different branch outlet sizes.
-
System connection: used for installation, extension, and modification of piping systems.
