Product Description

CuNi 70/30 Copper Nickel Reducing Tee Corrosion-Resistant Socket Weld Forged Fitting Offshore Class150

1. Product Description

A copper nickel reducing tee is a T-shaped pipe fitting made of copper-nickel alloy. The branch outlet is smaller than the main run. It is mainly used for flow division, flow combination, and diameter transition in piping systems. Common grades are 90/10 CuNi and 70/30 CuNi. 90/10 CuNi is widely used in seawater piping systems. The product can be manufactured to ASME B16.9, DIN 86088, DIN 86089, EEMUA 146, and other standards. End connections include butt weld, socket weld, threaded, and flanged types.

2. Applications

  1. Ship seawater cooling systems: for flow division and combination in seawater cooling lines.

  2. Offshore platform piping systems: for seawater and process piping connections.

  3. Fire water systems: for fire main and branch pipe connections on ships and offshore facilities.

  4. Ballast water systems: for branch and reducing connections in ballast piping.

  5. Bilge water systems: for connections and transitions in bilge drainage lines.

  6. Desalination plants: for pipeline distribution in seawater desalination systems.

  7. Power plant condensers and heat exchangers: for seawater piping in condensers and heat exchangers.

  8. Petrochemical systems: for corrosion-resistant chemical piping.

  9. Shipbuilding and ship repair: for installation and maintenance of marine piping systems.

3. Advantages

  1. Excellent seawater corrosion resistance, especially in chloride environments.

  2. Strong resistance to erosion-corrosion in flowing seawater, suitable for relatively high flow velocities.

  3. Good weldability, convenient for on-site installation and repair.

  4. High strength and toughness; iron and manganese help improve overall performance.

  5. Balanced cost-performance; 90/10 CuNi offers a good balance between corrosion resistance and cost.

  6. Long service life, reducing maintenance and replacement costs.

  7. Customizable sizes to meet different main pipe and branch pipe requirements.

  8. Stable dimensions, reliable connection, and good sealing performance.

4. Functions

  1. Flow division: distributes main line flow to branch pipes.

  2. Flow combination: merges branch line flow into the main pipe.

  3. Diameter transition: provides smooth connection between pipes of different diameters.

  4. Branch connection: provides a reliable T-shaped branch interface.

  5. Flow distribution: achieves reasonable flow distribution through different branch outlet sizes.

  6. System connection: used for installation, extension, and modification of piping systems.
