1. Product Description 

A Stub End Fitting is a butt-weld pipe component designed to pair with a lap joint flange, forming a detachable flanged connection in piping systems. It features a flared lip on one end—which acts as the sealing surface against the flange face—and a plain, beveled end on the other for full-penetration butt welding to the pipe. The lap joint flange slides freely over the stub end and is never welded to it, allowing 360° rotation for effortless bolt alignment during assembly.

Three standard configurations are widely available: Type A (per ASME B16.9, with a long hub and full wall thickness), Type B (per MSS SP‑43, with a short hub and reduced wall for lighter service), and Type C (per MSS SP‑43, with the shortest hub and thin wall for low‑pressure applications).
