1. Product Description

The Copper Nickel 90/10 Plate (UNS C70600), also known as CuNi 90/10 or CuNi10Fe1Mn, is a high-performance copper-nickel alloy plate with 90% copper and 10% nickel content, reinforced with iron and manganese additions for enhanced strength and corrosion resistance . This single-phase alpha alloy offers excellent resistance to seawater corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and biofouling, making it an ideal material for marine and offshore applications .

7. Precautions

• Avoid excessive heat input during welding to prevent deformation

• Control welding parameters (current, arc voltage, wire feed speed) within recommended ranges

• Material is susceptible to stress corrosion cracking at high temperatures – temperature and stress should be controlled during use

• Maintain composition standards with P & S ≤0.02%, Zn ≤0.5%, Pb ≤0.02% for welding consumables
