1. Product Description
Copper Nickel Plate is a copper‑nickel‑iron‑manganese alloy plate designed for reliable service in marine, brackish, and industrial cooling water systems. The two predominant alloys are UNS C70600 (CuNi90/10) and UNS C71500 (CuNi70/30), also supplied as Chinese grades BFe10‑1‑1 and BFe30‑1‑1. The material develops a thin, adherent, and stable protective oxide layer upon exposure to water, providing excellent resistance to general corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion. Plates are manufactured by hot rolling (thickness ≥4 mm) or cold rolling (thickness 0.3–3.5 mm). Heat treatment (annealing) is applied to achieve uniform mechanical properties and optimal corrosion performance. Surface finishes include hot rolled descaled, cold rolled bright (2B), polished to various grits, brushed, and chequered (diamond pattern). All plates conform to ASTM B171, ASME SB171, EN 1652, or GB/T 15272.
