1. Product Description

Copper Nickel Plate (Cupronickel Plate) is a high‑performance copper‑nickel alloy plate widely used in marine, chemical, and power generation industries. The alloy consists of copper with nickel (typically 10% or 30%) plus iron and manganese for improved strength and corrosion resistance. Common grades include UNS C70600 (90/10 CuNi), UNS C71500 (70/30 CuNi), and Chinese grade BFe10-1-1. These plates offer outstanding resistance to seawater corrosion, biofouling, and stress corrosion cracking. They are produced by hot rolling or cold rolling and are available in various thicknesses, widths, lengths, tempers (annealed, half‑hard, full‑hard), and surface finishes (2B, polished, brushed, mirror, chequered).

 

2. Product Applications

  • Marine & Offshore: Ship hull sheathing, seawater cooling pipes, condensers, heat exchangers, desalination plants (MSF/MED), offshore platforms, splash zone protection, propeller shafts, pump bodies.

  • Power Generation: Steam surface condensers, turbine oil coolers, auxiliary cooling systems in nuclear and thermal power plants.

  • Chemical Processing: Pressure vessels, reactors, evaporators, piping for corrosive chemicals (dilute sulfuric acid, organic acids).
