1. Product Description
The Copper Nickel Equal Tee is a fitting used for equal-diameter perpendicular branch connections in piping systems, with all three ports having identical inside diameters. Manufactured from copper-nickel alloy (Cu-Ni 90/10 or 70/30) by integral forging or seamless tube hydroforming. Conforming to ASTM B466, ASME B16.9, and EN 10253-2, it offers excellent resistance to seawater corrosion, cavitation, and biofouling, widely used in shipbuilding, offshore engineering, power generation, and chemical industries.

3.Installation & Precautions

Incoming inspection:Spot-check dimensions, wall thickness, and material spectrum per batch; visually inspect for cracks, folds, or lamination.

Pre-weld preparation:Grind bevel and 25mm area on inner/outer sides to bright metal using stainless steel brush or wheel; do not use carbon steel brushes.

Welding process:GTAW root pass, SMAW fill and cap. Use ERCuNi filler; preheat not required; interpass temperature 100-150℃.

Fit-up requirements:Internal misalignment ≤1mm; root gap 2-3mm.

Threaded connection:Use PTFE tape; ensure tape does not enter pipe interior. Apply standard torque values.

Purging & pressure test:Purge after installation, then hydrotest with clean water at 1.5× design pressure for 30 minutes.

Routine maintenance:Regularly inspect welds and connections for leakage; drain and dry piping during prolonged shutdown.
