Our 5659S-2016 15-5PH copper nickel elbows are specialized pipeline components, available in 90° and 45° angles, fully customizable, and crafted from 90/10 (CuNi 90/10) and 70/30 (CuNi 70/30) copper nickel alloys, strictly complying with 5659S-2016 standard (SAE AMS 5659S-2016). Designed for high-performance industrial pipeline systems, these elbows integrate the superior properties of 15-5PH precipitation hardening stainless steel and copper nickel alloy, ensuring stable operation in harsh working environments.
The core advantage of these elbows lies in their compliance with 5659S-2016 standard, excellent material performance, flexible customization and dual-angle options. The 15-5PH material (UNS S15500) is a martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel, featuring ultra-high tensile strength (up to 1500 MPa after H900 aging treatment), good toughness and excellent corrosion resistance, close to 304 stainless steel. Combined with 90/10 and 70/30 copper nickel alloys, the elbows further enhance corrosion resistance, especially against seawater, chemical media and atmospheric oxidation, making them suitable for high-demand scenarios.
We offer two common angle options: 90° elbows for right-angle pipeline turns and 45° elbows for moderate direction changes, both applicable to various pipeline layout needs. The 90/10 (CuNi 90/10) and 70/30 (CuNi 70/30) copper nickel alloys have nominal compositions of 88.0%-90.0% copper & 9.0%-11.0% nickel (90/10) and 68.0%-72.0% copper & 28.0%-32.0% nickel (70/30), providing stable performance in high-temperature and high-pressure environments, resisting oxidation and deformation.
Fully customizable according to customer requirements, we support adjustments in size, wall thickness, curvature radius (long radius R=1.5D or short radius R=1.0D), surface treatment and angle, perfectly matching different industrial pipeline systems. The elbows are manufactured via precision forging and machining processes, ensuring accurate dimensions, tight tolerances, smooth inner walls and good weldability—compatible with TIG, MIG and laser welding, and can be directly aged after welding without solution treatment.
Each 15-5PH copper nickel elbow undergoes strict quality inspection, including material composition detection (XRF), dimensional accuracy verification, mechanical performance test (tensile strength, hardness) and corrosion resistance test, to ensure full compliance with 5659S-2016 standard and international industrial requirements. Widely applied in aerospace, petroleum, chemical, marine and high-pressure pipeline systems, these customizable 90°/45° elbows provide a high-quality, reliable solution for global industrial customers.
